Chakra Balancing - Base Chakra


CHAKRA BALANCING

Base Chakra – (Muladhara) – Red
This is the first of the seven major chakras and associated with the element Earth, symbolizing the densest grade of manifestation and the basis of life.
In terms of energetics, this chakra channels Earth energy upwards through the feet and legs to process and stabilize it. It then moves the energy on, up the spine, now transmuted into a form that the body recognizes as signals to balance the endocrine system through the release of hormones. When we do not get the full flow of this Earth energy, imbalances in our physical body result.
‘Grounding’ us is the main function of the Base Chakra. When we are grounded, we are at one with life and the chakra functions as intended…




A few main characteristics are:
Colour – Red
Key Issues – Sexuality, lust, obsession
Physical Location – Between the anus and the genitals, opening downwards.
Inner Aspect – Grounding spiritual energies
Physical action – Sexuality
Mental action – Stability
Emotional action – Sensuality
Spiritual action – Security

Mental States and the Base Chakra
Negative – Typically coarse; violent; angry; greedy and self-centred; destructive; impatient; Competitive.
Positive – Natural; bold; clear; courageous; direct; dynamic; spontaneous; self-reliant.

Good crystals to balance this chakra are… Black Tourmaline, Hematite, Smoky Quartz, Red Jasper and Garnet.

Good essential oils that have a sympathetic resonance with this chakra are… Cedarwood, Patchouli and Myrrh.
You could also try wearing more red clothes or eating more red foods.

A simple grounding exercise you can do is to close your eyes, take a few long deep breaths and when you feel settled enough, visualise a red cord coming down from your base chakra and going straight in to the Earth, past the Earths crust and into the core. Then visualise the warm red earth energy coming back through the Earth into the base of your feet, up through your legs to your Base chakra and just keep that nice flow of red Earth energy keeping you grounded and settled.

Or simply close your eyes and focus on the colour red around the area of your Base chakra.

This exercise is a good one to do if you find yourself getting stressed and very much ‘in your head’. You will find it much easier to think clearer.

Chakra Balancing


CHAKRA BALANCING

There are several ways you can bring your chakras in to balance; just a few being through colour, light, aromatherapy, reflexology, food, crystals, colour breathing and yoga.

To balance the chakras, you must first be clear about the condition of individual chakras and interpret this in terms of energy flow. The different qualities of chakras can be, Active, Underactive, Passive/balanced or Overactive. Analysing what is happening with your chakras can be a powerful way of tuning in to your mind, body and spirit.



Base Chakra (Red) – If your Base chakra is not strong, you may feel unhappy with your body size or shape, or may have a feeling that you are not in control of your life. If it is overactive, you may explode angrily at the slightest provocation.

Sacral Chakra (Orange) – Low energy through this chakra will cause you not to have any joyful moments in your life. If it is overactive, you may experience tears of frustration.

Solar Plexus Chakra (Yellow) – Inactivity here will cause you to feel powerless when you are under pressure and to develop a queasy feeling, or butterflies in your stomach. Over activity here will make you in to a ‘control freak’ and domineering.

Heart Chakra (Green) – If you get that feeling like your ‘heart has missed a beat’ it may indicate weakness in this chakra, as well as physically. If you redden or your pulse races in stressful situations, you may have an overactive heart chakra.

Throat Chakra (Blue) – An underactive throat chakra will make you unable to speak your truth, or you may stutter or shake. An overactive one will cause you to speak before you think, sometimes with hurtful words.

Third Eye Chakra (Indigo) – If you cannot visualise and organise your life very well, then this chakra could be underactive. If you experience nightmares, it may have become overactive.

Crown Chakra (Violet) – If this is weak then you may have the inability to think clearly when under stress. If you want to taste all the fruits of spiritual attainment before you have learned how to plant, water and grow them, then this chakra is unbalanced.

During your Chakra Balancing session with me, it is best to wear comfortable clothes. I use Reiki, Crystals or both to facilitate your session depending on your preferences or needs. After our initial chat, you will lie on the massage table and ensure you are as comfortable as can be while I use a pendulum to ascertain the activeness of your chakras and continue on with the balancing session.
A Chakra Balance session will usually last for 30 minutes and after you will feel relaxed and more in balance and able to cope with whatever you are going through at the time.
Over the weeks following I will go into each chakra with a bit more depth.

What about Love?



What is Love? This is a question I used always ask myself and others…In my opinion I found people using it far too often and often when they didn't mean it. Of course that is only focusing on the relationship love and at that time in my life I figured, if you didn't say it you couldn't possibly get hurt…right?
I'm still not sure words can describe the whole thing about Love…One thing I do know though is if you don't love yourself, how can you possibly expect others to love you.
If there is something about yourself you don't like change it…if it can't be changed then change your thoughts towards it. By doing this you will find yourself a whole lot happier and when your happy, you can attract more things in your life to make you happy.
Then and only then do you start paving the way for your dream relationship:-)

Here are a few simple pointers to get yourself started…

- you have to be happy to receive happy. Have you ever tried to thing bad and sad thoughts when your smiling, really smiling one of those that actually do reach your eyes. It's impossible! So smile more:-)
- Be Grateful. Gratitude is one of the easiest and most powerful ways of bringing what you want into your life. Find at least 5 things you're grateful for and say them at the start or end of each day, or even both. I personally have found that saying them out loud or writing them down to work best for me but there is no reason saying them in your head won't work for you, especially if you add visuals and feelings to it too.
- Write down your dream man/woman, describe him/her, right down to the colour of his/her eyes if you must. This does not include an actual person though, so no names.
- Make room for this person. If you have a double bed and sleep in the middle, choose a side. Make room in your wardrobe for their clothes, start acting like you have already met this person.

Welcome:-)

Hi All,

Nearly everyone I know or have met recently have at least one of two problems. I say problem but seriously, things are only a problem if that's what you make them. Anyway it's mainly to do with Money and lack of it or Relationships. In today's blog I'm going to be concentrating on money.
I'm sure you've all heard of the 'Law of Attraction' and 'The Secret' and sayings like,"What you sow, so shall you reap".
This is all true and these ideas really do work. For example, did you notice the more you worry about bills and payments, the more they seem to add up and just keep coming.
I had my light bulb moment concerning this at some point last year. I've read all the new age and self help books to do with mindset and attraction but all the negativity and lack of belief were still there....until one day, I just said, "Enough is enough. The banks make enough money anyway, if we don't have it, we can't pay it." Why get upset and stressed about something we can't do anything about right now. By changing my approach to one of not stressing about it...things slowly started falling into place with a lot more ease. We would always have enough money to get through....

A few easy rules to go by to start creating what you want...
- Breathe...whenever your feeling stressed, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, you can think a whole lot clearer when your head isn't full of what if's.
- Have an amount in mind and focus on that.... you don't need to know how it will come about, the universe will sort that out for you, just focus on that amount and act like you already have it.
- Visualize the money in your hand, get a really clear picture of what it is like, and add any other details like auditory, kinasthetic(feelings) and smells. Do this for no more than a few minutes a day. More than that and your critical, disbelieving mind will interfere!
