Maintaining Good Health without Traditional Medication

Do you find that you fall ill more often than people  around you? Have the doctors told you that your immune system is weak? Honestly, there is nothing to worry about it. Instead of taking one pill after the other, you need to start concentrating on more important things.

The body’s natural barrier from external agents is its skin. The skin is made up of three basic layers, each of which protects our bodies from antigens and infections present in the atmosphere. Many-a-times, it is damaged skin that allows for diseases to enter our bodies. While most people may not realize this, the better you take care of your skin, the better you cope with bacteria in the atmosphere.

Ensuring that the skin is moist at all times is vital. Once it depletes its supply of oil and moisture, the skin hardens and starts to crack. These creases act as gateways for harmful antibodies to get into the body. For special skin conditions, it is better to see a doctor. However, way of living and diet play a very large role in how your body responds to its environment.

Diet is imperative to healthy living. Identify whether minerals, vitamins, carbs, and fats are all a part of your regular diet. If you have a health condition, fight it by supplementing your body with the required substances through your dietary habits. Apart from this, keep a positive attitude. Soon you will find improvements in your condition.

How Meditation Music Helps You

Meditation music usually consists of instrumental pieces that help you while you meditate. It is effective because the music is designed to have a positive and peaceful tune to it. Sometimes, meditation music has the sound of birds chirping or the rush of a river in the background. This makes it easier for people who are meditating to feel detached from the immediate surroundings that they are in.

Detachment is an important part of meditation. It is only when you do not realize your own body and mind that you can get in touch with your soul. This can be difficult when you live in a busy metropolitan with the constant jar of traffic and the busy lifestyles of people around you. Music is only a tool to help you block out noisy surroundings.

In addition to a nice headset, you could consider disconnecting your phone lines while you meditate. Keep no appointments or important things to do. Meditate either early in the morning, or late at night. This way, your mind will not be preoccupied by other things. Early morning is the best time because this is when your body is completely fresh.

Meditation gives you energy. If you are dozing off while doing it, you are doing it wrong. Do not force yourself to meditate when you know you cannot. If you skip your session on one day, you could consider making up for it some other time. Try to meditate for at least five minutes each day.

Bibliotherapy as a Self-Help Mechanism

Bibliotherapy is a therapeutic method that involves reading books and learning about physical or mental illnesses so that you can cure yourself without having to seek help. Often, you find that you may have an illness that you are not ready to come to terms with. However, all you really have to do is be open and honest about what you are suffering from.

Problems come up when the people around pity you for what you are suffering from. It is even likely that this pity will trigger the symptoms even more and make you feel worse than you already feel. So what should you do to take care of your condition without having to go through this whole process?

You could pick up a few books or look up the Internet and start reading about your ailment. As long as you are able to accept that you have a condition, you can start treating it without really having to get other people involved in the matter. Ensure that you find a reliable source of information and start your treatment at the earliest possible.

You may find a number of easy-to-implement methods that you could find very beneficial. In fact, they do not even have to be any sort of medication. It is often diet and general living habits that are the cause of illnesses. Find out how to live healthy for the condition that you have, and you will start to see improvements soon enough.

Benefits of Crystal Healing

Crystal healing is a technique that uses the vibrational healing powers of divine light trapped in stone to do away with various ailments of the mind and body. Every crystal has a unique light code that reflects a unified field of energy at different frequencies. The crystals heal you by attuning your body to higher frequencies created by resonating fields trapped in them. These fields fuel our auras with positive energy. It is amazing how these beautifully shaped stones use simple physics to provide you with a means to revitalize yourself.

The Power of the Mind

It is the mind that makes people human. Values, norms, and beliefs that every individual learns through the course of life are dependent on a number of hereditary and environmental factors. However, these factors are all processed by the human mind. In this case, the mind is separate from the brain. The brain is only the center of all human process. It is the functional control room of the body.

Finding Inner Peace in a Violent Environment through Social Work

The world can be quite a chaotic place for some people. If you have been brought up with acts of violence and aggression all around you, you may find it nearly impossible to come out of the negative cycle of harmful emotions. Out of the eight basic human emotions, five are negative, two are ambiguous, and only one is positive: happiness.

Though these facts have a dreary air about them, the truth is that this knowledge can simplify things in your life. You only have one basic emotional state to achieve. Attaining this, takes focus and calming of the mind. Though you may not be in a position to control your environment, you have the ability to distance yourself from it, at least in your mind.

Once you do this, you may look at things from an outsider’s perspective and even empathize with people who are suffering the consequences of a reckless environment just the way you are. The best and probably most gratifying work is social work. Absolute selflessness is rewarded by strong and healthy relationships and the materialization of the joy that has been caused by you.

Consider such work when you are in times of trouble. Whenever you find your social environment difficult to handle, go to a home or school for differently-abled children. Human beings are social animals. Helping others allows you to feel a substantial amount of happiness because it is deeply ingrained in our limbic brains. Providing assistance to someone in need is as basic as eating or sleeping.

The Ill Effects of Negative Emotions

The surprising truth about the body and mind is the fact that they are in fact interconnected. There are a number of books and blog posts which say that the body and the mind are separate entities. This is not true. There is scientific proof showing that both these are parts of the same person, and that there is a deep-seeded mechanism that interlocks one with the other.

Benefits of Meditation

It doesn’t take much to become imbalanced in today’s world, with the amount of things in our lives that require our attention, pull us in multiple directions, and distract us. It is necessary for the health of your mind and body to often bring your life into balance and attain a sense of peace and stillness for your mind. The best way to be productive and accomplish the multitude of things your life demands; from errands and kids to spouses and work, is to reduce your stress. The art of meditation is a long time used practice that brings all of those things together.

While the word meditation encompasses a number of techniques, practices, and types, all come back to the single purpose of creating a whole and healthier body. Whether you practice by a means of deep breaths, conscious relaxation, a clearing of the mind or focusing your attention, meditation and its benefits cannot be disputed. Meditation benefits range from reducing the effects and even presence of conditions such as asthma, allergies to helping cure people of insomnia and anxiety. Medical science has confirmed and supports that people who actively participate in meditation actually experience a decreased level of cortisone, which is a stress hormone.
The emotional, spiritual, and physiological benefits of meditation make it one of the most popular practices around, not to mention, it is free to do and can easily fit into your schedule. We encourage you to begin and end you day meditating and watch the positive effect it has on your mind and body. Enjoy a balanced life existence, a peaceful and stress free mind and a restored physical body.

Mindset for Success

There's more than saying to yourself,  “I can do this” to achieve a successful mindset. You must know it and believe it from deep inside your mind and your soul. You must have a positive attitude that you can go forward in your business or personal life.  When you have important matters to conquer, it is important to develop a mindset with a successful attitude.

When you wake up each morning with a positive attitude and look forward to what the day brings you, you will know that you have gained a successful mindset. When you are confident to accomplish whatever your tasks may be, you will know that you have mastered a successful mindset.
The main rule of life is based on the Law of Attraction. When you think negative thoughts, negative things are the result. Likewise, when you think positive thoughts, you have positive results. Negative thinking brings failure while positive thinking brings success. This is what divides successful people from those who have failures. Of course a failure isn't a failure though if you learn something from the experience. As long as you're still learning, you're still moving forward.

The Law of Attraction requires action. You can not simply think about and wish for success with an adventure, you have to believe in it and act upon it. To sit and think what it would be like to win the lottery will not win the lottery. You have to purchase a lottery ticket with positive attitude that says “This is the winner!”. You need to feel like winner and picture what winning will be like. These are positive thoughts that will bring positive results.

The greatest of all baseball players will tell you that when they walked up to bat, they pictured that ball flying out over the wall and pictured themselves running the bases and crossing home plate. They approached the plate with a positive attitude and with bases loaded, scored that coveted Grand Slam.
Their positive thinking and positive actions gave them the mindset to succeed.

Some people will call it a back up plan, when it fact, it is negative thoughts giving off negative vibes and going against the Law of Attraction Taking the energy and time to devise an escape route if your decision to do something doesn't turn out right is a waste of energy and time. Turn that negativeness into a positive and watch things turn around for you.

When you devise a backup plan, it is negative mindset. Why? Because you are already prepared for the worse instead. While a backup plan may seem like what successful people do, it is quite the opposite. They go forth with all their energy and positive thoughts that they are about to venture into the unknown and come out with nothing but success. For the successful person that follows the Law of Attraction, failure is not an option.

Have an empowering week:-)

Benefits of a Reiki Session.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is an energy, the word means spiritual energy or universal life-force energy. When it is used in healing, it acts holistically, affecting all of the energies working on your mental, physical, emotional & spiritual. Reiki acts to heal, harmonise and balance the whole self, and as it is guided by a higher wisdom and always works for the highest good of the person receiving it, it cannot be harmful in any way and it goes to where it is needed most.

What can I expect during a session?
Before actually beginning the healing, you will most likely have to fill out a bit of paperwork, especially for your initial visit. Then the practitioner will sit and talk you through the process and what to expect, also asking if there is a particular reason for your visit so the session can be tailored towards that.
The healing itself will usually take place with you, the client laying on a massage table, you will be fully clothed except for coats and shoes as you will be in the position for a while it is advisable to wear comfy clothes and remove any intrusive jewellery. The practitioner will have soothing and relaxing music on so you can just close your eyes and relax. Although reiki is a form of 'Hands on Healing' some Reiki Practitioners prefer not to touch the body at all and will hover their hands a couple of inches from the body, alternatively they may lightly touch you on some parts for e.g. around your head and your feet  and hover on others like your torso & groin area. Whichever way the practitioner decides to work of which you are agreeable with it will have the same effect.
Once the Reiki begins to flow you may have a feeling of warmth, or tingling or you may 'see' colours or have vivid dreams. Usually you feel very relaxed and peaceful as the energy flows through your body. Occasionally you might feel emotional as old energy patterns surface, you may even shed some tears or even laugh. If you fall asleep this ok too and you might find your arms or legs suddenly jerk. All of these reactions are perfectly normal, it is just energy releasing in different ways from the body.

What are the benefits I can expect from a Reiki Session?
The potential for healing with Reiki is unlimited, so anything can be treated. Many physical symptoms can be eased very quickly, while others may need lots of Reiki before starting to respond. Reiki is not a guaranteed 'cure all' because healing is not the same as curing. Healing does not always work on the physical first, it may be that healing needs to happen first on an emotional level or even on a mental level. Ultimately, if the healing is to be permanent, you as the client have to take responsibility for healing the cause.

Never Considered Coaching??

Never Considered Coaching?

You have probably never considered coaching before.  It is understandable.  There’s a fair chance you did not even hear of it until a few years ago, and even then, it was aimed at top CEOs.  You know, the type of people handling billion dollar businesses and flying around the world in their private jets.  And, that undoubtedly did not seem to apply to your independent jewellery store or your mid-level office career, did it?

But, ask yourself quickly.  Just how do you think those people managed their success?  Was it all on their own?  No, of course not.  Otherwise, you would not have heard about their coaches.

Now maybe, you do not aspire to the stress of running gargantuan companies – not many people do.  But, that does not mean you can not grab your own idea of success.  Even if it seems like a small goal, it is critical to you, it is your dream.  And, by the way, thinking it is a small goal signals a lack of confidence – which is exactly the kind of thing that coaching is designed to overcome.

So just what can coaching bring to your life?  Honestly, it can take you places you have never dreamed, and further than you have ever imagined.  Here’s how:

Coaches Are Honest – Unlike your sister and your well-meaning neighbour, your coach is not afraid to tell you the truth.  Their job is to help you build your plan, steer you in the right direction, and keep your foot on the gas pedal all the way.  So, it just would not help for them to tell you that you are something you are not, would it?  So whether you need help seeing a situation – or yourself – with open eyes, you can bet your coach will be the one to do it.

Coaches Have Solutions – There is nothing a coach loves more than watching a client experience a breakthrough.  So, they spend time (lots of time) reading about the latest problem solvers, programmes that bring radical change, and observing what has worked for others in similar situations.  That is a helpful hand to have when you are in a jam, or you feel like you can get around a certain challenge.  Better still, they know how to adapt these solutions to your life.

Coaches Make Plans – Okay, your coach is not going to hand you a road map of your life.  But, your coach will sit with you to discover what it is you genuinely want, and together, you will move swiftly towards breaking down those goals into chunks that you can manage – and achieve.  Coaches have new and varied ways to make sure that your dreams do not sit on the shelf.

Coaches Stand by You – you have also got a cheerleader in your pocket from the minute you establish just where your bulls eye is.  Oh yes, coaches are exceptionally adept at picking you up when you do not think you can do it anymore.  Your success is that they do, so they are ready to celebrate when you succeed, and they are even closer when you need a hand.

That does not sound too bad, does it?  And, remember, all of that investment is in you and your dreams – not someone else’s.  No matter how you look at it, it is a win for you.  Perhaps it is finally time to consider coaching.

And yes, if you truly want to be the Director of a multinational company, the only way you will get there is with a coach.

Have an empowering week :-)

Chakra Balancing - Crown Chakra

CHAKRA BALANCING

Crown Chakra – (Sahasrara) – Violet

This is the last of the seven major chakras and associated with the element Inner light. This is what one experiences when they are in the deepest part of their being, as a point of consciousness glowing with intelligence.
The Crown chakra is the place of pure consciousness. It symbolizes the balance of duality within us, and our ability to experience super-consciousness, and then the bliss of transcendental consciousness. Because the state is impossible to describe, it is sometimes called ‘the void.
The connection point for the Crown Chakra is regarded as the soft spot on a newborn baby’s head. When this spot closes up, the baby’s awareness of the infinite universe and super-consciousness becomes locked in. Then for most of us, personality and ego take over the physical body and little thought is given to spiritual matters until we anticipate death.
Dis-eases connected with the Crown Chakra are, headaches, Epilepsy, Paralysis, Parkinson’s disease and High blood pressure.

A few main characteristics are:
Colour – Violet
Key Issues – Inner wisdom and death of the body
Physical Location – Top of the head
Inner Aspect – Release of Karma
Physical Action – Meditation
Mental Action – Universal consciousness
Emotional action – Beingness
Spiritual action – Unity through transcendental consciousness

Mental States and the Crown Chakra
Negative – Confused, depressed, alienated and fearful of death/suicidal
Positive – Compassionate, gentle, inspired, intuitive, spiritual/mystic/psychic

Good crystals for the Crown chakra are, Clear quartz, Amethyst, Moldavite, Celestite, Selenite, Kunzite, Azeztulite.

Essential oils that have a sympathetic resonance with the Crown Chakra are, Ylang-ylang, Rosewood, Linden or lime blossom and Lotus or water lily.

The Crown chakra can be balanced through prayer and meditation, colour, sound therapy and chakra meditation. Since the vortices rotate at certain frequencies, they resonate with musical notes that make the chakra achieve balance. The musical note for balancing crown chakra is B. Also a daily head massage is a good way to achieve balance too.

Have an empowering week:-)
